Reading Ambassadors:
The Reading ambassadors have been very busy again already this half term! Firstly, we have been asked by the Royal Society Book Judging Panel to judge the Young People’s Book Prize. Our reviews are safely with Mrs Prince and ready to be sent off to the Society. Next, we have been getting ready for a very important meeting coming up at Mansel Park involving some more very important members of our local communities.
We have even received a letter from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport in response to our letter about our work in school and our concerns about libraries. Miss Leonard is really looking forward to sharing this with us all in Monday’s assembly and passing on the ‘Ministerial Support Teams’ thanks to all of our children for their hard work.
We also thought we could take part in ‘Library Shelfie Day.’ Library Shelfie Day was started by a famous library in New York and is all about taking a selfie or ‘shelfie’ with your favourite book to recommend them to others! Here are some of our Reading Ambassadors with their favourite books. We’d love to see some of yours too!
