Year 3 blog:

Have you ever wanted to get revenge on someone? Year 3 have heard about a dastardly character who does just that!  Some tricks had been left in the hall, so we went to the Trick Shop!

The Twits are vile, cunning individuals. Whether its squishy frogs in their bed, slimy worms in their spaghetti or gooey eyeballs in their drinks, they play endless tricks on each other! Their main goal? REVENGE!

The children’s topic in writing focuses on them planning and recounting a trick for Mr Twit to get his final revenge on his hideous wife. In preparation for their writing, the children browsed the trick shop, exploring a variety of tricks they could implement and were able to use these for inspiration. They saw tricks such as disguising toothpaste in an Oreo (instead of delicious, sugary cream!) and hiding shaving foam in her shoes, ready for her small, innocent feet to find. What a mess that would be!

The children loved brainstorming other disgusting, horrid things they could subject Mrs Twit to next. Wickedly, the children had amazing ideas for their revenge story. Our favourites were:

• using soil to make a ‘chocolate’ milkshake – imagine drinking that!

• cutting up bits of a wig and leaving them lying around the house so she thinks she’s losing her hair – you can only imagine the consequences!

• concealing ants in cookies instead of chocolate chips – yuk!  Would you want to eat that?

Our warning…be careful!  Next time your child hands you an Oreo, check the filling first!
