Year 4 blog:

On Monday 9th Year 4 enjoyed their trip to Calshot activity centre. The children used their perseverance and resilience skills to overcome their fears and try a range of different activities.

We worked in teams using our expert communication skills and applying our knowledge of balance from PE sessions, to work our way across the low ropes course. We were very proud of the way the children supported each other and cheered each other on.

We had to trust in our teammates when climbing the rock walls, each child had a different role to play either feeding and pulling the ropes or tackling the wall itself! Archery tested our hand-eye co-ordination and attention to detail when concentrating on trying to achieve the most points. We played a variety of games and had 1-1 support to improve our accuracy.

Many children were apprehensive to have a go at skiing but had courage to try something new. They all managed to master the bent knee position to keep themselves steady as they flew down the slopes!

The children had a wonderful day and impressed us by trying all the different activities.  They were also excellent ambassadors for our school!
