Xīnnián kuàilè! Happy Lunar New Year! This half term, we are exploring the celebration of Lunar New Year. 

We have decorated our home corner in the traditional way and the children have had the chance to try some special outfits on. We have explored the zodiac animals and which order they go in through stories, as well as thinking about the history of the lunar new year, how to prepare for it and how it is celebrated. 

We are very lucky to have children who celebrate the lunar new year and their parents are coming for a visit to make lanterns, Chinese writing and special clothes. 

We have loved exploring the Lunar New Year! Happy Year of the Snake 2025!
