Year R Parent and Pupil "Pip and Pap Phonics" Workshop

Parents in Blue Base and Green Base took part in a parent and child phonics workshop today. 

They read the book "The Gig" together, where Pim plays the drums and sings songs on stage!

Pupils read words such as "cop, gig, stop, sad, caps, pots, and taps" as part of the session, sounding out and blending. 

Some children read sentences such as ""Papa can go to the gig" and "Kom the cop spots Pip and Pap!"

Then, they made their own microphones together, before playing some phonics games! Aren't they fantastic? We hope you enjoy creating your own 'gig' at home and using your microphone!
