Year 1 have had a great start to the Spring Term. Read all about the fun we have been having below:

There’s a monster on the loose!

In English, our classrooms were trashed by a mysterious monster! We had to follow clues around the school to uncover the monster's identity. We have been working hard to write warning posters so we can put them up around school to let everyone know what happened and how to keep safe. The children have been working hard to include plenty of adjectives to clearly describe the monster. We have also been learning about how and when to use a question mark and an exclamation mark! Keep an eye out for the monster, they could be hiding anywhere! 

Moving Mechanisms!

Our topic for DT this half term is Moving Mechanisms. We have really enjoyed the start of our topic and have already made some sliding mechanisms and pop up cards. We have had great fun! We are looking forward to designing and making our own moving mechanisms during the rest of our topic.
