City Athletics

Wow! Tuesday 11th June is certainly a day to remember for Bitterne Park Primary School and a huge congratulations are in order for our fabulous athletics team!

30 children from Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 performed incredibly well at the City Athletics competition winning first place against many schools in Southampton. The team competed in many field events including ball throwing, triple jump and long jump. Our Year 6 triple jumper, Gabriel, even came first in the finals! Amazing!

We placed in nearly all of the heats for the track events which is an incredible achievement in itself. In the finals...

Year 5 150m - Archie 3rd place

Year 6 150m - Cara 3rd place

Year 6 80m - Lewis 1st place

LKS2 relay - Arlo, Seth, Oliver & Malachi 3rd place

UKS2 relay - Evan, Lewis, Charlie & Harry 2nd place

Bitterne Park boys achieved 2nd place in terms of points across the schools as well as the entire team came 1st place across all Southampton schools.
