Year 1

This term, Year 1 has been learning all about their local area in Geography. The children had the exciting opportunity to deepen their geographical skills by going on a learning walk to explore our local area. We are lucky enough to live by some key features such as the river, shops and green space so there was much to talk about, identify and observe! The children were able to spot human features (manmade) and physical features (natural) and differentiate between them.

When 1H walked to Bitterne triangle there was even a van unloading produce by the pavement providing another great talking point about what type of shops there are and what the local community needs. A fantastic learning experience for all our year 1 children!
