Year 4 blog:

Year 4 have thoroughly enjoyed our recent art lessons, where we explored the work of the renowned abstract artist, Wassily Kandinsky. His vibrant use of shapes, colours and patterns inspired the children to create their own plans for a final piece. They had a great time experimenting with different elements of his style and interpreting them in their own unique way.

In writing, we have been focusing on building tension within a narrative, using a variety of writing techniques to captivate their readers. The children are especially excited to craft their own superhero stories, imagining how their characters will save the day in thrilling and unexpected ways!

In maths, we have begun a new unit on multiplication and division. We have been incredibly impressed by the children's knowledge, enthusiasm and hard work as they dive into the new concepts. Their progress so far has been outstanding!
