Year 4 Blog

We have had a very exciting first week back in Year 4.

The highlight of our week was our excellent Viking visitors, who came in to tell us all about their day to day lifestyle. We learnt that it used to take months for them to wind their wool, before they could even begin to turn it into clothing! We also learnt how a Viking meal would be made, which starts with having to go hunting and creating a fire from flint! We were intrigued by the different weapons, which included a special sword and a huge bow and arrow! Some children even got to dress up in faded red and blue Viking clothing, as you can see from the photograph!
