Year 6 Devon Adventure:

Day 1.

The weather hasn’t dampened the spirits of our excited Year 6s! After a very successful journey to North Devon, the children were buzzing to find out who would be in their rooms, before heading out to take part in their first activity either tunnelling and an assault course or climbing and abseiling.

All the children have shown great determination, even those who were trying these activities for the first time! They have pushed themselves out of their comfort zones and should all very proud of their achievements.

The food has been a real highlight for the children. “Hats off to the chef” was the phrase heard as the children polished off a meat or vegetarian pasta or jacket potato for dinner. They will not go hungry this week!

The day ended with a slightly damp, but fun scavenger hunt, giving the children the opportunity to get to know the site better, as well as continue to improve their teamwork and communication skills.
