Year 1 - blog

What a week! For this last week of our half term, in RE, we have been learning all about special places and, this week, we learnt that churches are special places for Christians. We found out about what inside a Church makes it special. We then made our own stained glass windows of places that are special to us.

For the Big Help Out, we have been working hard on getting things ready for Great Gardening Day. We had an amazingly generous donation of plant pots, seeds and soil, so we used this opportunity to start propagating seeds so they are ready to plant in a few weeks time! We painted our plant pots and made signs to tell people what had been planted. We also loved going on a mini-beast hunt around our school to see what wildlife we could find!
